a beautiful day for a bomb scare

apparently paris, the framing shop across the street from the jcc, had some broken glass to throw away last night, but rather than leave it in an open container, they sealed it so that children or any other random on-comers would not injure themselves. unfortunately for them, trash men not only refuse to take suspicious sealed packages (especially ones with a french return address, such as this one), but they are also required to report them to the police. hence the uptown shutdown we experienced this morning.
