our friend isabel writes...

My friend and her husband are visiting from Cincinnati, when I asked them if they saw Michael Moore at the Oscars, they asked me who that was, when I told them it was the guy who won for best Documentary for "Bowling for Columbine", her husband said, "oh, is that the guy who made a fool of himself", I was like "what?!?!, that guy is my hero"!! My friend said, "Isabel, lets not talk about war because we have 2 different opinions about it, it's like talking about religion"

Her husband works at Jeff Ruby's, a popular restaurant in Cincinnati and said that Jeff Ruby banned all French products from all of his restaurants. I wish there was a way to stop people from eating at any of these restaurants. It just makes me mad, and sad about how ignorant people could be. I could be wrong, but it just seems that everyone from these conservative cities and towns, such as Cincinnati are all totally for the war and won't even hear of anything else. What a world!!!

our other friend monica suggested i post links to slate's "war on the web" part 1 and part 2, but i'm not particularly sure why.
