nyc shutdown in progress

in case you hadn't noticed, thousands of demonstrators have taken to the nyc streets today for a massive die-in in protest of the war in iraq, and with little regret. a decoy rally at rockefeller plaza has set the stage for hundreds of direct actions to be performed by smaller affinity groups throughout the city. 5th ave. is 0wnz3r3d! crandan & throg are on the scene...

[update 1:06] as of this time, i can not reach cran or throg, but legal aid says neither of their names are on the list of arrestees thus far.

[update 4:02] throg and ten others were arrested this morning during the die-in at 48th and 5th. crandan is doing prisoner solidarity outside 100 centre street at the moment.
