This Post is Not About the War in Iraq, Protests, or Getting Arrested

Believe it or not, Jakeneck massive, but some of us have been looking for an escape to all this wartime madness lately. All this arguing and protesting can get to be too much after a while. That's why last night I took my girl to The Greatest Show On Earth. I hadn't been to the circus since I was a small child, so it really was an amazing experience. For two hours I was able to forget about how much I hate my job, the war raging in Iraq, and the new RHP record and just be five years old again. I highly recommend you do the same if you get the chance.

What you see in the photo above is a 16-foot claustrophobic steel sphere called "The Globe of Death." Inside the globe, a record-breaking six reckless motorcyclists (the Torres Brothers) orbit within inches of each other at speeds up to 60 miles per hour! And that was only one of the highlights. Besides the requisite tightrope walkers, clowns, performing elephants, tigers, and dogs were these insane Chinese acrobats from the Hebei Troupe, who take the Wonder Wheel to a whole new level, as well as the "showstopper" of this, the 133rd edition of The Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus,.... Bailey's Comet. What is Bailey's Comet, you ask? Well, to find out, the circus will be in town at the World's Most Famous Arena through April 13th.
