We Only Do Feet in Pink

In August 2003, Brit Ingrid Nichols was faced with a lower extremity amputation, and replacement with a flesh-colored prosthesis. The only problem was Nichols is a black woman and the prosthesis would have to be pink. The Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority has since apologized, clearing up the misunderstanding that if Nichols wanted a dark-colored prosthesis, she would have to pay for it herself.
