r.u. sirius still needs to know

here's what r.u. still needs from our last round of research...
  • African American slaves at start of 20th Century. Anybody find an approximation?
  • Deborah Davis etc. — I'm still looking for the first appearance in the mainstream press about Mary Pinchot Meyer smoking pot with JFK, probably in the Washington Post or an Associated Press item. This is an important one.
  • Woodstock praise in a mainstream media source:
Time 8/29/69 (p. 32 The Message of History's Biggest Gathering)
The Big Woodstock Rock Trip; Time Magazine Aug 29, 1969 pp.14B-22
Age of Aquarius; Newsweek Aug 25, 1969 p.88
I'm looking for a copy of one of the articles or a juicy quote praising the event.
  • Can anybody find when "My Generation" by the Who hit the charts?
much respect to those who have assisted in this endeavor.
