canada moves to decriminalize the ganj, u.s. squeals injustice
ottawa has just introduced legislation to decriminalize marijuana in canada.
and just as the u.s. threatened jamaica when it announced its plans to decriminalize personal possession, "The Bush administration has been vocal in cautioning Canada that Washington would be forced to increase time-consuming border searches if decriminalization of marijuana is enacted. American officials say decriminalization would increase supplies and trafficking."
increase supplies? lemme get this straight... the u.s. grows $25 billion worth of pot annually and has no handle on it at all, but canada's the bigger problem?
how 'bout this: just this morning, two canadians went to court in waltham, mass., for smuggling 800 lbs. of marijuana across the u.s. in a tractor-trailer. which way were they smuggling it? from north carolina to ontario. sowho needs to step up their searches on what side of the border now?
u.s. drug policy is insidious. oooo canada...how i long for thee.
