we's been robbed

the department of defense has "lost" over $1 trillion dollars in the last few years, according to the u.s. general account office. being notorious for its horrendous accounting practices ($640 toilet seats anyone?), resident bush has proposed new legislation to remedy the manner in which the DOD conducts business.

of course, if this is anything like last year's accounting fraud bill, you can be sure the culprits will walk away scott free.

it's so much easier to create the appearance of doing the right thing than to actually do it, isn't it?
