a trend is surfacing in which medical marijuana growers being prosecuted under federal laws are prohibited from telling their jurors that they were legally growing medical pot according to their state laws. the ommission of this fact has led to several convictions, most notably that of grow-guru ed rosenthal, whose jurors went ballistic when they found out he was legally growing pot after they'd already convicted him.
