Midwest Radio
Howdy! I'm just rolling through Wyoming (hee haw! ride that!) and thought I'd ask y'all a question:
Say you're driving a long stretch of highway, and a commercial comes on for X brand truck where two hicks and a scientist are battling it out over what is more powerful, a black hole or the X brand truck. The hicks ask things like "How much room does it have?" and "How much weight can it tow?" Because the hicks have no idea what the scientist means when he answers, they decide he has no evidence and that X brand truck is superior in every way. I'm listening to this casually, but then got a little weirded out by the punchline, where the scientist says incredulously, "No, I don't know how many corndogs you can fit in a black hole." Maybe this wouldn't have disturbed me, but the way the hicks chuckled after he said this (cut commercial) DID. Are you disturbed by this or is it just me? Only in the Midwest.. .
