Ashcroft Goes After Protesters

"Atty. Gen. Ashcroft is pulling out all the stops to prosecute protesters."

In response to an April 2002 Greenpeace demonstration, John Ashcroft has ressurected a law from 1872 used only twice in American history to prosecute anyone! If convicted, Greenpeace could lose its tax-exempt status and go bankrupt! "The extraordinary effort made to find and use this obscure law strongly suggests a campaign of selective prosecution — the greatest scourge of the 1st Amendment."

It gets better! Three nuns who were involved in a demonstration at a nuclear missile silo are being charged with "obstructing national defense" which carries a 30-year prison term if convicted! What the f*ck is this guy thinking?!
