he's going for a record

i called dan repeatedly during class and got no answer. after school i went up to union square to see what was up over there and found the entire park fenced off and hundreds of cops surrounding the park's permiter. i called dan's girlfriend to see if she knew where he was and found out he's been arrested again. the nlg called her to say he's being held at 100 centre st., but that's where they said we were last time, and we weren't. i can't find the nyc hotline number on imc either, so i can't call to find out what he did. there is nothing about any of today's actions on nycimc, and i'm really bugged out by that... the last post was around 7 pm.
now after getting off the phone with the plc, i'm told he's at the 18th precinct, manhattan north, 306 w 54th st. he's getting a desk appearance ticket and he'll likely be out in a few hours. they won't let any lawyers in to talk to the arrestees and they don't know what the charges are yet. it's likely going to be disorderly conduct... again. oy gevalt.
dan, you're my hero.
btw, an independent commission plans to review the behavior of the nypd in protest situations, next week.

[update 10:21] imc is working again...seems they had an outage. here are some photos and here are some comments about the feeder march dan said he'd be participating in.
[update 10:30] dan's been released. expect a play by play forthcoming.
[update 11:00] this recent report to imc seems to confirm much of what dan just told me of his experience. he'll be home soon to tell you himself. apparently throg was there too.
