case dismissed

just got back from court... charges were dropped. "as of march 10, the nypd has failed to file a legally acceptable accusatory instrument with this court. there is no need for you to return to court on this summons." know what that means? bogus charges. praise "bob".

i had a statement prepared too... was gonna say sumfin' like:
federal judge barbara jones denied our permit to march on february 15th, citing "heightened security concerns." it was later discovered that the department of justice filed a friend of the court brief asking the judge to deny the permit. james madison, the fourth president of the united states once said, "the means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home." when our permit was denied, our first amendment right to peaceable assembly was denied. it was not for saftey's sake, no, but rather a tyrannical attempt to supress dissent against an unjust war.

two-time congressional medal of honor awardee major general smedley butler, of the u.s. marine corps, said, "war is just a racket... there are only two things we should fight for. one is the defense of our homes and the other is the bill of rights. war for any other reason is simply a racket." with that said, when i sat in the street on february 15th, i did what any responsible, patriotic american should have done: defended the bill of rights in the face of tyranny. and if that makes me a criminal, then i suppose i should be found guilty.
didn't get the chance tho. no sweat i guess... justice was served.
